timmyz
what size handles work best for stacking? right now I'm stacking 3 1.5s with 150# 100' line and 13" handles. seems to work fine but i'm new to this. would 15" handles be better? thanks tim
johnnmitchell
If your going to stack, say 6 or more and your lines are more than 150#, you should look into some the carbon wrapped handles. I personally would prefer the 15". The reason for the carbon wrap is that the normal handle rods can bend if you get too much pull. Now on three you are ok with normal handles and 150# lines. In light winds you could even use 90# lines but that is pushing it. Again, I personally would prefer the 15".
West Australian
Hey Timmyz, just do what I am doing and experiment. I am stacking 3 progressively vented B series. the 13" work fine, but I will be trying 15" handles soon.
Robtulloch
So long as the handles you use are the Stainless Steel type, don't use a set of Aluminum No Snags. They will bend in a gust with stacks. Let us know about the 15's as I've heard a few guys prefer them for the smaller stacks.
